Hello all, and welcome to Carne Diem! My name is Chris and I am a full-time physician, travel junkie, and foodie. During my travels I love nothing more than exploring new foods and dishes from around the world, then trying to recreate them at home.

As a competition pitmaster with the KCBS, I hope to share some of my experience cooking up some of the best meat dishes from around the world.
I look forward to sharing the joy of cooking and some of my favorite recipes, and hope I am able to teach some useful methods and techniques that have helped me become an award winning pitmaster and cook.
