Ingredients

  • 4 Ribeye Steaks
  • ¾ Cup Pineapple Juice
  • ½ Cup Soy Sauce light soy sauce preferred
  • ¼ Cup Gold Rum
  • ¼ Cup Mirin
  • ¼ Cup Turbinado Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Ginger Finely diced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare the marinade by combining all of marinade ingredients in a small bowl or a large resealable plastic bag.  Add the steaks and marinate in the refrigerator to 2-8 hours.
  • When you are ready to cook the steaks, remove them from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
  • On a hot grill, over direct heat, sear the ribeye steaks for 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Move the steaks to indirect or lower heat.  Continue to cook the Hawaiian ribeye steaks on the cooler part of the grill until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • Remove the steaks from the grill and rest for about 5 minutes prior to serving.
  • While the steaks are resting, dust the pineapple slices with a little Tajin seasonings or other seasoning and grill on well-oiled grill grates for about 1-2 minutes per side.
  • Serve the steaks with the grilled pineapple, and enjoy.
