These Ahi Wonton Tacos are a quick and flavorful recipe to make on your griddle like a Cooking Steel or Blackstone or in a cast iron skillet. Seared ahi tuna is topped with a wasabi sauce and cooked up in fried wonton wrappers. It is a great seafood appetizer but is equally as fantastic as a meal.
Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl or plastic bag. Add the ahi tuna steaks and marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Combine the wasabi sauce ingredients and refrigerate until needed.
Preheat your griddle, Blackstone, or flattop over medium-high heat (450 degrees).
Sear the tuna steaks for about 90 seconds per side (for rare). Cook longer, flipping every 60 seconds if you would like your tuna cooked more well done.
Remove the tuna and cut into slices. Add slices of seared tuna, green onion and wasabi sauce to the wonton wrappers.
Add oil to the griddle and sear the wonton tacos for about 30 seconds per side, until crispy.
Serve with additional wasabi sauce, hoisin sauce, and green onions.
